This Web site is a collaborative effort. We need help creating, building, and maintaining it.
There are many areas you can help, here are some ideas:
- Use the site and report bugs/problems in the software so we know to fix them.
- Report content errors such as typos, misspellings, grammatical errors, etc.
- Help document the gallery photos. Most of the photos in the galleries need to be documented. We don’t know who many of the people are or where the pictures were taken. Search for “unknown” in the gallery and add comments to the pictures and we’ll fold the comments into the descriptions as we have time. You’ll need to have an account to comment.
- Do you want your family’s information updated in the family tree? There are two ways to do this:
- send us the information or, better yet,
- request an account and update the data yourself.
- There are many fun and interesting stories about our relatives that are undocumented. Do you know a story? Can you write it down and send it to us? Or, request an account and publish an article yourself!
- We’re looking for digital images (studio quality) of the Viosca pictures that are on loan by the Cavarocs to the Louisiana State Museum. Anyone got a line on this?
- There are pictures of some Vioscas in the Cabildo (volunteer fire dept). Anyone got a line on this?
- Would like to get studio quality digital images of Paul Percy Viosca Sr. and many of his brothers and sisters.
- Looking for more family pictures. Want to scan in and create your album in the gallery?
- Looking for pictures of cemetaries and crypts where relatives are buried.
- Looking for pictures of New Orleans locations where relatives are known to have lived (we can tie google earth into the photo gallery once we have some meaningfull locations in the gallery.)
